Please note: Unsolicited fiction submissions will be closed beginning December 1, 2021. Submissions will reopen in February 2022. Agents and solicited submissions may email queries to Sarah Munroe.

Fiction (formerly Vandalia Press)

Fiction submissions will be closed beginning December 1, 2021, and will reopen in February 2022. Agents and solicited submissions may send an email of inquiry to Sarah Munroe that includes a brief synopsis of the project and the first two chapters of the manuscript. Please do not phone the office to discuss proposals or submissions, and please do not mail hard copies of your proposal or manuscript. 

It is not necessary for the work or the author to have a connection to West Virginia or Appalachia, although we continue to be interested in projects relevant to the region, particularly new or under explored aspects of Appalachian culture.
